Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is a FPS (first-person shooter) video game developed by Valve.

It's the fourth game in the Counter-Strike series released in 2012 and is protected by VAC.

In CS:GO there are few game modes to choose from but the most popular is 5 vs. 5 (terrorists vs counter-terrorists). Players got the wide range of official and community maps to choose from. The goal is to plant/defuse the bomb or save the hostages (depends on map). Alternatively you can kill all opponents. One competitive game takes around 30 minutes and is split up to 30 rounds (BO30 - team with 16 wins win the game). If 15-15 happens, game will end with a tie.

After the match players gain XP and a chance for an item drop.
