'''Call of Duty''', also known as COD, is a FPS (first-person shooter) game that can be played on Windows and other consoles, including PS4, Xbox One, and Wii U. It is owned by Activision, and game developers such as Infinity Ward, Treyarch, and Sledgehammer Games have taken turns over these years developing each release.
COD was first released in 2003 simply as ''Call of Duty''. Since then, it has become an immensely popular game, with new versions releasing every couple years. Initially, the game was set in World War II, but eventually the games released became set in modern time. In total, there has been currently fourteen official games that were released, and the game has sold over 250 million copies and grossed over fifteen billion USD.
